A former child star turned sitcom actor turned general all-around delight, Neil Patrick Harris owes a lot of his current success to the Harold and Kumar films.

The Barney Stinson actor was previously known as a squeaky-clean little angel thanks to his role as infant doctor Doogie Howser M.D., but his turn as a fictionalised version of himself in Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle completely changed people's opinions on him.

Basically, everything you think of Harris' portrayal of Barney started in Harold and Kumar.

NPH returned to the series for Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, but things took a turn for the worse when he got shot and killed in a brothel. However, in A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas, Harris is back as a performer in a Christmas show! But how?

Well, in a very un-Christmassy turn of events, NPH was kicked out of Heaven by Jesus himself. Once you've seen what he gets up to in these films, you'll see why.

A hilarious return for a great character, thank God Harris came back, because Harold and Kumar wouldn't be the same without him.

Oh, and he can read minds now. Which is awesome.
