Taboo is a BBC drama series created by Tom Hardy along with his father, Chips Hardy.
Hardy stars as James Delaney, an enigmatic figure that has arrived back in London after spending 12 years in Africa. He has returned to England in order to rebuild his family’s shipping empire, as well as avenge the death of his father.
Delaney’s arrival upsets the government and other powerful figures in the community and they set out to stop him from carrying out his plan.
Hardy is the undoubted star of this piece and although the audience are often kept guessing about what is really going on in the series, his portrayal of the mysterious lead character captivates the viewer.
