10 Best Villain Death Scenes In MCU History

1. Erik Killmonger

Thanos Avengers
Marvel Studios

Thanos is the greatest MCU villain ever, and is one of, if not the very best in the history of the comic book movie genre. However, there is one other antagonist that is right up there with him. Erik Killmonger is one of the reasons why Black Panther is such an incredible, and important movie.

He didn’t want the throne of Wakanda for his own personal pride, for the money, or for the glory. He wanted it to enact real change across the globe. The kind of change that T’Challa could have made, but instead locked himself behind a wall of deceit and feigned that there was nothing special about Wakanda.

Killmonger’s fight was to break oppression all over the world, and he held true to that when he was stabbed by his cousin. Knowing his time was short, he asked to go to the top of Mount Bashenga to see the view, one of the most stunning pieces of cinematography in all 14 years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

T’Challa offered him the help he would need to survive, but Killmonger refused. He would rather die than live his life in bondage. This was arguably the most powerful scene in the history of the MCU, and the most important and emotional death in the entire franchise. This can never be undone, as it simply means too much.
