2. Thanos (2023)
For five years, the world spun on after what Thanos did in Wakanda. This was, of course, until Scott Lang was freed from the Quantum Realm by a random rat, and was able to bring his unique knowledge of a potential time heist to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
Everything would have gone swimmingly if it wasn’t for Nebula’s mind being connected to the other version of herself in 2014. This is what alerted this new/old version of the Mad Titan to the Avengers’ plan, and spawned his new plan to go into the future and make certain that his work would always be done. He was so close, too.
He fought off Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Wanda Maximoff, Captain Marvel, and the entire host of MCU heroes. What he didn’t contend with however, was Tony Stark’s genius, and the fact that a villain should never waste time with a monologue. Snap your fingers first, THEN call yourself inevitable.
This mistake allowed Stark the time to take the stones for himself and snap his fingers. In one fell swoop, he rid the universe of every invading alien from the past, but the scene of seeing Thanos himself accept his fate as he crumbled into dust was haunting. This can only be topped by one scene…
