3. Vampire's Kiss

Final Destination 5
Magellan Pictures

Vampires are the worst, but bosses? Even worse.

When he is bitten by a woman, publishing executive Peter (Nicolas Cage) begins to undergo a series of bizarre changes; exhibiting erratic behaviour and becoming increasingly unhinged.

Convinced that he has been bitten by a vampire, Peter does what all bad bosses do - takes his suffering out on his poor secretary (Maria Conchita Alonso).

Don't let the title fool you - there are no vampires in Robert Bierman's black horror comedy. There's nothing more supernatural at play here than the story of a man losing his mind, and that man just happens to be played by late-eighties era Nicolas Cage and thus propelled the film into internet infamy.

As Peter tortures his long-suffering secretary with unpredictable, violent outbursts and humiliating verbal beat-downs, the film gives a great representation of life as an office underling; trapped at the whim and mercy of a deluded tyrant. In this case, one who thinks he's turning into a vampire. Bosses suck.
