9. Nick Fury Faked His Own Death - Captain America: The Winter Soldier

The Twist: In the first act of The Winter Soldier, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) catches a few bullets while on the run, and later dies in surgery. Fury disappears from the movie for around an hour before reappearing in the third act, having faked his own death and now essentially living off the grid to help take down Hydra, who are operating within S.H.I.E.L.D.

Why It's Obvious: The trailers gave it away. This is by no fault of the filmmakers, but you still have to consider that someone high-up in Marvel Studios will have signed off on the trailer prior to its release, and it might have made sense for them not to include a shot of a battered, post-assault Nick Fury who has clearly survived the attack when they were truly trying to convince audiences that he was dead.

Granted, only obsessives who watched the trailer dozens of times will likely catch the shot, but when it could so easily have been avoided, it seems stupid to include it, especially knowing how fickle and detail-obsessed the net nerds can be.
