7. Is Latveria Already A Known Threat?
The fact that Latveria is marked so clearly on Sue's map would seem to suggest that the country is already on the radar, or that it very quickly will be following a trigger (presumably something to do with Victor Van Damme's transformation into Doom). Going back to the shot of the military meeting, it could very well be that Doom's actions are a response to an attack on his country. Perhaps the Fantastic Four's inter-dimensional hopping leads to an unforeseen response not just for them, but also for their original dimension. Latveria has been infamously destroyed in the past in the comics, and it wouldn't be completely out of question for Doom to be attacking the US in vengeance. That would also explain the military concern. But again, it doesn't quite fit in with the idea that Doom starts as a friend - and the Latverian 'Holy War" was actually retconned out of the Ultimates arc.
