If you choose to take the brief shot of Sue crying over the prone body of Johnny at face value - and you probably shouldn't given that they wouldn't have spoiled something that massive in the trailer (surely?) - it would appear that something pretty terrible happens to The Human Torch. You could theorise that this is a shot from the origins sequence in the N-Zone, but frankly you'd be wrong. That's clearly the costume that presumably comes later in the film's events, when they're set up as a unit to take on Doom, and while the background looks very extra-dimensional, it's more likely to be Latveria. Anyway, location is a secondary concern here: the real question is what has happened to Johnny, and how permanent it might be. Will there be an element of Doom being a sorcerer who calls the being inside Johnny into existence? Could he thus hold the key to reviving the prone hero?
