10 Biggest Behind-The-Scenes Fights From The Making Of Famous Movies

4. George Clooney Vs. David O. Russell (Three Kings)

Just as a forewarning, this isn't going to be the last time you see David O. Russell's name pop up on this list. The guy is a world-renowned maniac when things don't go the way he wants them to on set. George Clooney, on the other hands, has rightfully earned his reputations as one of the nicest guys in Hollywood. Further proving that point is how he handled the director's now-infamous outbursts on the set of the underrated action-comedy Three Kings. In his first time directing a big budget studio film, Russell found the constant pressure to stay on schedule and under budget to be too much, unleashing his frustrations on anyone around him. Clooney has told stories about the director violently screaming at anyone who he believed had made a mistake, whether that be the camera-car driver (who he cussed out in front of the whole crew) or the script supervisor (who he made cry). But the most intense moment during the shoot, according to Clooney, occurred when Russell instructed one of the very young extras to grab George and throw him to the ground for a scene. When the kid expressed his reticence over it, Russell proceeded to chuck him to the ground and shout "Do you want to be in this f*cking movie? Then throw him to the f*cking ground!" Since George Clooney is a powerful, human person with a fully functioning heart, he decided to have a few words with him about his behavior. That little chat escalated into a full-on fight, with Russell and Clooney literally butting heads before grabbing each other by the throat and attempting to kill each other. Miraculously, people still decide to work with David O. Russell.
