10 Biggest Behind-The-Scenes Fights From The Making Of Famous Movies

3. LL Cool J Vs. Jamie Foxx (Any Given Sunday)

When compiling a list of famous method actors, it's probably safe to assume that very few people would ever put LL Cool J's name in there. And yet, according to the statements of everyone involved in the production of Any Given Sunday, Cool James might be one of the most intense method actors of our generation. Scripted in the film is a confrontation between teammates (played by Foxx and Cool J), who exchange some heated words on the sidelines. In the spirit of "acting," LL pushed Foxx to make their animosity feel more realistic. Foxx didn't take too kindly to this style of improv, however, and got right up in his costar's face. After things toned down a bit, Foxx turned to walk away, when he was struck in the back of the head. That's when the fists really started flying. According to the police report (because, yeah, that also happened), LL claimed that "it wasn't Jamie and I fighting, it was our characters," which is the equivalent of saying "it's not me who has diabetes, it's my sweet tooth." The unscripted physicality led to Foxx threatening to file assault charges, though he never went through with it. Still, the two actors/rappers remained at odds with each other for years afterward, with LL going so far as to record a diss track aimed in Foxx's direction called "U Can't F*ck With Me."
