6. White House Down
Budget: $150 million Personally, I think the failure of White House Down has a lot to do with the timing of it's release. Coming out just 3 months after the critically acclaimed Olympus Has Fallen, White House Down never stood a chance. The movie follows Sale (Channing Tatum) as he tries to rebuild a relationship with his daughter. His daughter is very much into politics so why not take her on a tour of The White House, right? Wrong. During the tour, Sale (who's trying to become a secret service agent) falls victim to a White House take over. After securing his daughter, he sets out on a quest to bring the terrorist to justice. Cale eventually runs into The President (Jamie Foxx) and the two go on quite the journey in their efforts to escape the White House. The movie's so over the top in some aspects that it almost turns into a parody of an action movie. Of course the movie features very little twist and turns as you can see the future through out each scene. When you compare White House Down to Olympus Has Fallen it's embarrassing. Olympus Has Fallen cost 70 million to make, was a much better movie and turned a gross profit of 90 million dollars. White House Down on the other hand cost 150 million to make and LOST 20 million dollars. You tell me what the better move was. I blame Magic Mike, Tatum. He's in 2 of the top 10 movies on this list. C'mon man!
