10 Biggest Blockbuster Movie Disappointments Of 2013

5. After Earth

CORRECT After Earth 2Budget: $130 million M. Night Shyamalan has screwed us again. Did you even see After Earth? Don't worry, not many of us did. After Earth takes place in the future. It's about a father and son (Will and Jaden Smith). In theory it sounds like it could work but in reality it didn't. After Earth centers around Raige (Jaden) and his quest to find help on Earth's deserted shell of a planet. Fueled with monsters and unknown creatures, Raige must find a way to call help for his father and their vessel. The movie is rarely exciting, isn't fun and has no real ambition. I don't blame Will and Jaden for this, I blame Shyamalan. Actually I take that back, I blame them all. It felt like the movie was made just to help Will Smith cement his son's footprints in Hollywood. That's the only logical answer I could come up with as to why Smith would even agree to do such a sh*tty movie. Now I'm trying to decide which sci-fi movie was worse, this or Oblivion. No, no, definitely this. I'd rather watch Fresh Prince reruns than watch this piece of shit again. Then again, I rather watch Fresh Prince reruns than a lot of movies. Nevertheless, step your game up William.
