8. The Network Listens To Gary, Can No Longer Be Bothered To Enslave Humans - The World's End

Edgar Wright's riotous apocalyptic comedy concludes with The Network (Bill Nighy), the "God" of the robot race (but don't call them that - it means slave!), arguing with Gary King (Simon Pegg) about the viability of humanity, and why their quiet subversion of the species is ultimately a good thing for it. King is noted by his friends for being impossible to have an argument with, due to his own twisted logic driving his opponents to their wits' end, and this holds just as true for his exchange with the robots. Though the bots clearly (and misguidedly) hold Gary in a high regard (referring to him as "the King of the humans", by virtue of his surname), they also give up ludicrously easy after Gary refuses to back down, with The Network declaring, "F*** it", before leaving Newton Haven, which soon enough self-destructs. Given that we only see The Network hold a conversation with one human at the end of the movie, it seems a bit much to quit conquering Earth on the basis of one man (even if they do see him as a King).
