7. Heather Stays With Leatherface...Because He's Her Only Remaining Family - Texas Chainsaw 3D

Texas Chainsaw 3D Easily one of the worst movies of the year, Texas Chainsaw 3D is the same film we've seen so many times before, albeit one that tries to subvert our expectations at the tail-end, as it attempts to portray antagonist Leatherface as an ultimate anti-hero, something it bungles with an aggressive efficiency. The movie's protagonist is Leatherface's cousin, Heather (Alexandra Daddario), who discovers in the third act of the film that the local authorities murdered her family for helping Leatherface. She then decides...to kill a cop and free Leatherface, at which point she takes him to her newly-inherited home. Here, she reads a note from her grandmother's will, which states that if she takes care of Leatherface, he will protect her forever more. So...a relatively normal, terrified woman suddenly becomes a deranged weirdo with an implausible attachment to her murderous relative because...he's the only one of her bloodline left? A bit much, no?
