6. Kruger Gets Mad, Kills Delacourt - Elysium

CopleyElysium-thumb-630xauto-35780 We probably should have expected that Kruger (Sharlto Copley) was going to be a tad unhinged from the outset of Elysium, given that he nonchalantly shoots down a civilian shuttle near the start of the movie, and only gets more aggressive from there. To be fair to the guy, having your face blown off by a grenade is going to ruin anyone's day, and when his cranium is reconstructed on Elysium, he is never the same again, driven by even more ferocious intensity. Soon enough, his boss Delacourt (Jodie Foster) chides him for being sloppy, causing him to summarily murder her before heading off on a quest to take down Max (Matt Damon) and rule Elysium all for himself. Nobody expects feral mercenaries to be the most forward-thinking, diplomatic types, but still...
