5. Irina Commits Suicide To...Avenge Her Father's Death - A Good Day To Die Hard
There are so many things wrong with A Good Day to Die Hard that this complaint is really pretty low on the totem pole, but it's nevertheless an absurd overreaction by a character that makes very little sense indeed. The scene in question occurs when big bad Yuri Komarov is hurled through a spinning helicopter rotor, much to the horror of his equally evil daughter, Irina, who is piloting a nearby helicopter at the time. She has John McClane and his son Jack in her sights, and makes the "noble" decision to then ram her helicopter into the building they are inside, causing the copter to explode into a fireball while John and Jack dive to safety. Aside from being inexorably stupid, it's such a bizarre way to react to your father being murdered. Why take such an errant risk for your own life, when you could retreat a little and line up a better shot, or call in some backup or something? I think if you're the type of person to try and steal weapons-grade uranium, you could probably hook that one up. No need to lay your life down.
