10 Biggest Characters The MCU Hasn't Used Yet
6. Mephisto
Making his comic book introduction in 1968, Mephisto has unfortunately been absent from the MCU. Initially theorised to be behind the mayhem of Spider-Man: No Way Home before the film's release, the demon regrettably didn't appear, with that plot instead focusing on a botched spell by Doctor Strange. However, that doesn't mean that Mephisto can't make an appearance in the cinematic universe, and there certainly are signs that he could be joining the MCU in the future.
If the demon was to make an entrance into the franchise, Marvel would have no difficulty in finding a story to tell about the character. Being the closest thing to the Devil in the Marvel comics, Mephisto has had plenty of dealings with heroes who wish to bargain with him. Peter Parker famously bargained his marriage to Mary Jane Watson in exchange for Aunt May's life in Spider-Man: One More Day, and Susan Storm once agreed to stay in Hell with Mephisto to save her husband, Reed Richards, in Give the Devil His Due!
Luckily, it seems like the MCU won't be demonless for much longer. According to Editor-In-Chief of The Cosmic Circus, Lizzie Hill, Mephisto will make his first appearance in Ironheart next year, with Sacha Baron Coen starring in the role, though nothing is confirmed yet.
