10 Biggest Continuity Errors In Star Trek

3. Which Kemocite Canister Is Removed? - The Shipment

Star Trek Enterprise Kemocite

In the third season of Enterprise, the NX-01 begins its hunt for the Xindi. The second season closed with a devastating attack against Earth, leaving millions dead, so the stakes are at their highest here. Following clue after clue, Archer's ship finally makes a significant discovery in the episode The Shipment.

Here, they stumble on a set of Xindi Arboreals, who are preparing to ship Kemocite to the main weapons facility. Archer and Reed beam into the facility and open the case containing the various canisters for shipping. In the first scene, there are two rows of canisters. Reed picks up one from the closer row, leaving three canisters between him and the right-hand side of the case.

They are disturbed by the approach of the Xindi and shuffle away - revealing that there are now only two canisters between the one Reed has taken and the right-hand side of the case. This incongruity between shots is just enough to take the viewer out of the scene. It is entirely possible that Reed replaced the canister and picked up another. Yet one has to ask oneself - why?
