10 Biggest Fan Service Moments In Marvel Movies
7. Purple Pants - The Incredible Hulk
When talking about the greatest moments in the MCU, hardcore fans don't seem to have that much love for The Incredible Hulk.
Considering Edward Norton isn't even playing Bruce Banner anymore in the timeline, the dated CGI of this film and the lacklustre writing just feels like the one instalment in the MCU that shouldn't exist. However, the producers did seem like they wanted the audience to lose their sanity over gym wear.
Aside from the climax, Hulk's appearances in the movie are a lot more subdued, with some of them being in shadows to mask some of the more obvious animation bits and pieces.
When you're back to your average Edward Norton scenes though, things get a little too on the nose when Betty Ross hands him some clothes to make him blend in, which includes a pair of the famous purple shorts that we've seen from the comics.
It would seem that the rest of the staff thought this would be a hilarious bit for the audience to soak in, considering that they linger on it for a lot longer than they really need to. Hell, this kind of hilarity even had somewhat of a shelf life, considering that 2012's The Avengers had Banner donning a purple shirt as well.
