2. Stan Lee And The Watchers - Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2
Throughout most of the MCU, the audience would always wait with bated breath for the most recent Stan Lee cameo.
Given his random appearances in the lives of every single Marvel character though, there was definitely some speculation as to who this "character" was that Stan the Man was really playing. While it's never made clear what Stan's real role in the MCU is, we did have some puzzle pieces come together when he was seen with the Watchers during Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Being an integral part of the Marvel Comics, a Watcher acts as somewhat of an overseer over the universe, looking in on the Avengers' activities from afar. Given that Lee has had a few bit parts in every single film, it would make perfect sense to consider Stan as an agent of theirs, delivering different news of the various things that he's seen on Earth.
This was all but confirmed when Kevin Feige was asked about the cameo later on, confirming that Stan's recurring characters is actually the same man in every single movie that he's starred in in the MCU. Though Stan might no longer be with us to provide any more of his comments, this was an Excelsior moment for the writers if there ever was one.
