10 Biggest Flaws Of The 10 Highest-Grossing Movies Of 2014
2. The Mostly Shambolic Plot - Guardians Of The Galaxy
Box Office Gross: $771,909,276 Guardians of the Galaxy is, for all intents and purposes, great. It's the movie that Star Wars: The Phantom Menace should have been: a miraculous, galaxy-sized rollercoaster ride into the far reaches of space, featuring a brilliant cast of total misfits who are impossible not to love. Critics heaped praise upon the movie, of course, and rightly so - it's a true blockbuster. But Guardians of the Galaxy isn't entirely flawless. Think about the plot. What actually happened? And even if you can outline a general description of what occurred, ponder the way in which it was presented to you: as a total and utter shambles. True, the chaotic, scatty execution mirrors the Guardians themselves, but at its core, this picture shares a similar flaw to so many other MCU movies: its plot is largely unintelligible, and is driven by a boring MacGuffin.
