1. The Fact That Michael Bay Has Learnt Nothing - Transformers: Age Of Extinction
Box Office Gross: $1,087,404,499 You'd think that, after three Transformers movies, the two most recent of which were lambasted for their terrible plots, scripts and incomprehensible battle sequences, that a director of Michael Bay's standing, embarking upon a fourth entry, would take a good look at himself in the mirror on the day before shooting began, and would have the foresight to tell himself something akin to: "Okay. This time it'll be different." Nope. After the tragic cinematic failures that were both Revenge of the Fallen and its sequel Dark of the Moon, Michael Bay ploughed onwards (but definitely not upwards) with this next chapter in the saga. Not only does he fail to address any of the issues presented to him by critics and fans regarding the previous movies, however, he ensures to implement them all over again to any even more aggressive capacity. So Age Of Extinction is, of course, a louder, crasser and even more painfully exhausting slice of blockbuster evil - more senseless and more incoherent than any of the pictures that preceded it. Had this come to theatres via another director - one imitating Bay's style - you might better understand its reason for existing. But this is Bay's movie, and he refuses to listen to his criticisms. Instead, he indulges them. Like this article? Agree or disagree with the flaws we've listed here? Do you have any flaws of your own that you'd like to get off your chest?
