10 Biggest Implications Of Marvel's Massive Phase 4 Delay
9. Everything Is Coming Later Than Planned
Hold on to your hats, because there's been a crazy domino effect in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Black Widow moved from May to November.
With Eternals no longer being released this winter, it's now been pushed to February 12th, 2021. That release date previously belonged to Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings which has been forced to take Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' prime summer slot of May 7th, 2021.
Predictably, the Sorcerer Supreme's big screen return has also shifted, and is heading our way on November 5th, 2021 instead. Unfortunately, the wait for Thor: Love and Thunder will be that little bit longer as it's been pushed all the way back to February 18th, 2022.
Marvel Studios movies tend to be pretty much immune to good or bad release dates as people flock to them whenever, but Shang-Chi is bound to benefit from coming out in May, and the only real film at risk of getting overlooked is somewhat obscure property Eternals (just look at how Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey underperformed back in February despite starring Margot Robbie in the lead role).
