7. It Is A Good Place For A First Date
For a while, the cinema was the go to place when it comes to first dates; but this shouldn't be the case. I am not saying do not go to the cinema on a date; far from it. It is just that the cinema should be somewhere you go later on in a relationship once you have gotten to know one another. There are a few reasons for this: You need to be able to talk to someone in the early stages of a relationship. You don't want to be the couple who are constantly being told to be quiet during a movie, because you discussing how many brothers and sisters you have and where you grew up. You need it to be just the two of you. Who wants to spend the first few romantic moments of a budding relationship stuck in a room with a few hundred people? You don't know each other's arm rest etiquette yet. At some point in every relationship you need to sit down and have the discussion on where they like to rest their arms when it comes to sitting in a cinema. Do they like to use the arm rest away from the partner, or hold hands across it and simply keep their hands in their lap? This is something that needs to be discussed and evolve over time, not half way through the first film you ever watch together.
