10 Biggest Marvel Studios Mistakes

2. Losing Edgar Wright

The first teaser trailer for Ant-Man was met with a mixed response (mostly due to the lack of humour), but for the most part, the movie looks great. Marvel are known for getting great films out of even the most expected performers and directors, and Ant-Man looks set to be no exception. However, it's hard to not think about Edgar Wright and ask, "What if?" The Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz director had been attached to write and direct Ant-Man since 2006, with Marvel accommodating his desire to conclude his Cornetto Trilogy by delaying the movie and not including that character or The Wasp in The Avengers. Months before production was set to finally begin, things went terribly wrong. Upset with Marvel's desire to further integrate Ant-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (which is actually 100% understandable), Wright parted ways with the studio. Now, as great as Ant-Man may or my not be, it will forever be impossible to shake the feeling the an Edgar Wright helmed Ant-Man would have been so much better...
