10 Biggest Mistakes Made By MCU Heroes

If not for some particularly extenuating circumstances, this one would be near the top of the list. Wanda’s attempt to create an idyllic sitcom lifestyle for herself and Vision was accomplished at the cost of condemning Westview’s inhabitants to horrific torment.

Although Wanda wasn’t fully aware of what she was doing when she first established the Hex, she maintained it even after being confronted with the consequences of her actions by Vision.

Deprived of their free will, separated from their loved ones and forced to experience Wanda’s nightmares, the people of Westview were in constant pain until the Hex was eventually taken down. Even the sympathetic Monica Rambeau described the experience as “excruciating, terrifying, a violation.”

However, the fact that Wanda was experiencing severe mental health problems at the time means that she deserves some leniency and understanding. She had seen Vision die for a second time after having been forced to kill him, and had then been confronted with the ghoulish sight of his dismembered body thanks to the heartless reptile known as Tyler Hayward. Her mistake was the result of terrible grief and loneliness, and she ultimately did the right thing and ended the Hex, despite having to sacrifice her only family once again.
