10 Biggest Mistakes Made By MCU Heroes
4. E.D.I.T.H.
You’d really think that Tony would have learned his lesson concerning dangerous AI after Ultron. But no! Not only did Tony create another AI, complete with an armada of lethal drones, he then gave full control of it to a teenager!
While Peter Parker is undoubtedly a true hero, the power to kill anyone, anywhere, at any time is arguably too much for anybody, let alone someone who’s still at school. Peter’s decision to relinquish E.D.I.T.H. was perfectly understandable – a certain quote about power and responsibility comes to mind, and the responsibilities involved with E.D.I.T.H. were simply too great for Peter to bear.
Tony’s inability to learn from his previous mistakes almost caused catastrophic harm. Peter was tricked into ceding control of E.D.I.T.H. to the unscrupulous Quentin Beck, who used it to fake a super-powered attack on London, with minimal regard for casualties. Beck also came close to murdering Peter and his class in his attempt to preserve his heroic image.
Although Peter and his allies were able to defeat Mysterio, the whole situation could have been avoided had Tony not been so utterly foolish.
