7. Married... With Children May Get A Spin-Off Series
Fans of the dysfunctional family The Bundys from the 11 season Fox series Married... With Children rejoice, because Sony Pictures TV is reportedly working on a spin-off. No firm plans are in place yet, as the project is still being pitched. However, if picked up, the new series will feature awkward and trouble-making son Bud Bundy (played by Dave Faustino). At this time, there's no word on whether or not the other series stars Katey Sagal, Christina Applegate, and Ed O'Neill will return. Apart from Faustino, the actors from Married... With Children went on to have successful television careers. Applegate has led shows like Up All Night, Jesse, and Samantha Who? (and roles in successful films like Anchorman), Sagal voiced Leela on Futurama and has a major role in Sons of Anarchy, and O'Neill has gotten a few Emmy nominations for his work on the incredibly popular (and acclaimed) sitcom Modern Family. It should come as no surprise then that Faustino seek to recreate one of his more popular and successful roles. With this Girl Meets World currently airing, and Married... With Children and Full House on the verge of getting revamps... are we nearing an age of nostalgia-driven TV reboots? If so, someone bring back Quantum Leap, The Wonder Years, or... may we suggest, Double Dare! Those shows were awesome.
