3. A Nightwing-Led Teen Titans TV Series Is In The Works At TNT

Last week we heard that Supergirl may be coming to television, and now we have word that another beloved DC Comics character may get the same treatment. According to Deadline, Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind) and Marc Haimes (Collateral) are developing a live-action Teen Titans series for TNT, with beloved character Nightwing, the former Robin, in the lead. The series is simply called Titans, is nearing a pilot order at the network, and is described as follows:
"Based on characters from DC Comics, Titans revolves around a group of young superheroes-to-be who are recruited from every corner of the DC universe. The action-themed drama centers on Dick Grayson, who emerges form the shadow of Batman to become Nightwing, the leader of a fearless band of new superheroes including Starfire, Raven, and more. The show is described as a dramatic adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book titles ever.€
Many, including ourselves, have been dying to see Nightwing appear in live-action for quite some time now. We thought that he may make his debut in either Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice or on Arrow, but we'll gladly take a Teen Titans series starring Dick Grayson any day of the week. With no further details available to us, we're left wondering just what a series like this will entail, and what characters will be included. We know that Warner Bros. has decided to keep its TV and film universes strictly separate, so perhaps anything is possible. We'll keep you updated as more news becomes available.
