7. Louis CK Developing New Show For FX
Is it even possible
not to love Louis CK? The man has truly proven himself as a forced to be reckoned with and as a man who doesn't give up (even if it means doing everything himself). He's been a stand-up comedian for nearly thirty years, and has written for David Letterman, Conan O'Brien, The Dana Carvey Show, and The Chris Rock Show. He also has a passion for filmmaking, often serving as his own writer, director, star, and editor. He's got two shows under his belt, the failed (but incredibly smart) HBO sitcom Lucky Louie, and the incredibly successful FX comedy Louie. Louie has been met with rave reviews from critics and audiences and perfectly captures Louis CK's dark, unique, and unbelievably honest comedic style. The show won the Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series last year, and was renewed for a fourth season that will air in Spring 2014. Now, CK is setting his sights on a new project at FX, another scoop reported by Deadline. FX president John Landgraf had this to say about the news:
"Working with Louis CK has been one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences of my career [...] So many incredibly talented artists want to work with Louis and follow down the independent and idiosyncratic creative trail he has blazed. I can't wait to see who he brings through our door, not to mention any new projects that he wants to create for us."
As you can see, there are absolutely no details given to what the show will be, though we know that it will be produced and created by CK, which he may also direct or write.
