2. Lauren Bacall Has Passed Away At Age 89
We unfortunately lost two Hollywood greats this week, one of which was legendary actress Lauren Bacall. The Hollywood icon was known for her sultry sensuality and relationship with husband and frequent co-star Humphrey Bogart. Bacall hit fame after her first film, 1944's To Have and Have Not (where she met and starred with Bogart for the first time), and went on to take on roles in such classics as The Big Sleep, Dark Passage, Key Largo, How To Marry A Millionaire, and Murder on the Orient Express. Recently she starred in films like Howl's Moving Castle, Dogville, Ernest & Celestine, and The Forger. Bacall was born in 1924, and passed away on Tuesday August 12th at the age of 89 of a stroke. She left behind an incredible legacy and three children, Stephen Humphrey Bogart, Leslie Bogart, and Sam Robards (a child from her second husband, Jason Robards). Our condolences go out to her family.
