10. Minority Report TV Series In Development

Steven Spielberg has teamed up with Godzilla screenwriter Max Borenstein to bring a Minority Report adaptation to television, according to TheWrap. Spielberg adapted the eponymous Philip K. Dick story in 2002, starring Tom Cruise and Colin Farrell. Cruise starred as John Anderton, the head of "PreCrime," a special police force that uses three psychics called "PreCogs" to identify and arrest murderes before they ever commit their crimes. When Anderton is accused of a future murder himself, he must go on the run and clear his name. Spielberg is reportedly looking to cast a well-known actor for the role of Anderton, much like he did with Halle Berry's casting in the CBS drama Extant. The series will likely focus heavily on the PreCrime unit, and could easily take on a procedural format with Anderton's story serving as a season or series-long arc.
