5. Warner Bros. Releases Godzilla Trailer
Fans still reeling from the disappointment that was Roland Emmerich's 1998 Godzilla film may now rest easy, as Warner Bros. released the first teaser trailer for the franchise reboot, which hits theaters on May 16, 2014. Until now, we'd only heard whispers about the film and those lucky enough to have seen preview footage at Comic-Con left incredibly impressed. The teaser trailer is, in all possible ways, only a teaser, establishing the tone, atmosphere, and scale of the film while only giving us a glimpse at the characters and of course, at Godzilla himself. The film is directed by Gareth Edwards, and stars Bryan Cranston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Elizabeth Olsen.
