7. New Marvel One Shot Title Revealed

Marvel As Marvel Studios continues to dominate the global box office and lead the pack in terms of comic book film adaptations, they're unsurprisingly keen on expanding their brand and trying new things. They've already made their first TV show (though Agents of SHIELD isn't very good) and just made a big deal with Netflix for a handful of new series. They also have produced for short films called One Shots, which offer standalone stories set in the MCU featuring supporting characters like Agent Coulson and Peggy Carter. The One Shots are a great way for Marvel to try out new characters without having to take the risk of greenlighting feature length films, and they will hopefully be making more of them in the future. So far, each One Shot has coincided with the home video release of their latest film. Agent Carter arrived along with Iron Man 3, and now we have our first hint at what the One Shot accompanying Thor: The Dark World might be. The One Shot is called All Hail The King, and judging by the The Dark World's ending, it's not hard to imagine who the short might be starring. Of course, it could be anyone at this point, but chances are Marvel will continue to focus on one of their most popular (and their best) characters. Thor: The Dark World arrives on Blu Ray and DVD on February 25, so we'll just have to wait and see what their next One Shot contains until then.
