10 Biggest Movie And TV News This Week (July 12)

1. Fake Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Script Takes The Internet By Storm

christian-bale-batman-henry-cavill-superman Over the last week a fake Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice script has taken the internet by storm. Many attributed it to Kevin Smith, claiming that Warner Brothers had hired him to write and leak it in order to throw rabid fans off of Zack Snyder's trail and keep the film's various plot details a secret. As it turns out, Smith had nothing to do with it, and neither did Warner Bros. The script was, in fact, written by Twitter user @SonOfArrogance. In an extensive interview with The Bible Of Zack Snyder, he goes into great detail about his reasoning behind writing the script, and comes forward about releasing various fake rumors about the film over the course of the last year as well. The rumors he takes credit for include those about Green Lantern, Doomsday's appearance, the depiction of a street-tough, tattooed Lex Luthor, and the inclusion of 4 additional villains (Amanda Waller, Victor Zsasz, David Cain, and Morgan Edge). SonOfArrogance claims to have written the script, and released the fake information, not as some Joker-esque form of internet chaos, but as a way to turn our attention toward "scoop sites" (like Latino Review, who posted several of his fake rumors) and the internet bullying that occurs between factions of fans. How successful he was in his endeavors remains to be seen, and is likely up for debate, but one thing is clear: he definitely fooled us, and now has us questioning each and every unofficial piece of Batman V Superman "news" that has surfaced since the film was announced. Unfortunately, the movie's title is not one of the things he made up. That's totally real.
