7. Superman's Quick Cameo - Shazam!

One of the resulting factors of the DCEU's generally poor performance is that Henry Cavill's future as Superman remains uncertain. Still, one thing that's remained consistent is the rumour that he'll next be seen in costume in a small cameo appearance in the upcoming Shazam.

Though it would seem wise to officially confirm or deny this rumour - putting an end to the endless speculation about whether Cavill is finished with DC or not - so far, all we've heard is conflicting reports, rather than anything concrete.

In September this year, word broke that Cavill was fully finished with Superman, which would obviously put an end to any chances of a Shazam cameo. But literally a day later, Cavill and his manager both responded to that report in a cryptic fashion, indicating that Cavill might not be done just yet. Then, following all this uncertainty, it was reported that his Shazam cameo was axed. So far, so confusing.

But that's not all! The roundabout just keeps on spinning. Recently, we heard that it might not be axed after all, and that Warner Bros will use the cameo to gauge "audience engagement" in Cavill's version of Superman.

Realistically, don't expect Warner Bros to confirm anything until the movie opens, leaving the cameo for audiences to discover on release day.
