5. James Dean's Car Was Haunted
Iconic young film star James Dean was tragically killed in a car accident in 1955, and ever since, rumours have persisted and grown into legend, suggesting that various parts of his Porsche Spyder that were sold off to other buyers have similarly resulted in unfortunate accidents. The first apparent victim of the "haunted" car is a mechanic working for George Barris, a car designer who opted to buy the car and sell off the salvageable parts. However, when the car was delivered to his dealership, the car reportedly rolled off of the truck, breaking his mechanic's legs in the process. The legend grows with the claim that a man named Troy McHenry bought Dean's engine, put it in his car, and was killed on his first trip out in it. Finally, an unnamed man bought two of Dean's tires, and they simultaneously blew at the same time. While undeniably spooky, there are no reports to verify or debunk these claims either way; it remains in that curious limbo that will only ensure it continues to gain notoriety online.
