10 Bizarre Horror Movie Choices (& Why They Happened)

8. The Pink Blood - Saw 3D: The Final Chapter

There's perhaps nothing more agreed upon in the horror genre than blood being a rich, vibrant red, but if you watch the seventh and then-final entry into the Saw franchise today, you'll probably be distracted by all the blood's distinctive pink hue.

This was actually due to Saw: The Final Chapter being released in cinemas in 3D, where 3D glasses tend to dampen the brightness and colours being projected. To offset this, the production team tinted the film's red blood pink, such that when it was watched with 3D glasses, it would appear more red. However, despite the film grossing a pretty penny at the box office, the studio didn't bother to re-grade the its colours for the 2D home video release, and so, to this very day, most of The Final Chapter's gore sequences have a deeply pink tinge to them.

Some fans have taken it upon themselves to re-grade the film's blood to appear more natural, but it sure would be nice if Lionsgate did an official remaster at some point.
