10 Blatant Fan Service Movie Moments
4. A-Force! - Avengers: Endgame
The A-Force comic was one of the first in Marvel comics history to feature a team of just women superheroes kicking butt and taking names. The idea of that has spread and infiltrated not only the comics but the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well.
Imagine this scene: it's the first Avengers film. To get the Mind Scepter to the tower, all of the women superheroes in the MCU team up. That happens; and it's just Black Widow.
But after a couple of years, superheroines started to pop up in the MCU, to the point that dozens of people-- including a few of the actors-- clamored for a film starring just the women.
The odds of that happening are very, very slim, but Marvel did decide to throw us all a bone in Avengers: Endgame.
At one point during the football game-esque end scene of the film, Peter Parker is trying to run Infinity Gauntlet 2.0 to the end goal, and is saved by not one, not two, but all of the women of the MCU, Mantis, Valkyrie, Nebula, Gamorra, the Wasp, Shuri, Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel, who team up to take down a whole swath of villains, including some of the bigger ones, like Cull Obsidian (the big guy that Bruce Banner killed in the first one). It's blatant, over-the-top fan service and it's fun as heck.
