5. Venom: Scott Haze Is Playing Carnage
Tom Hardy's Venom will be up against his nemesis Carnage in Sony's upcoming solo film about the Lethal Protector, but the studio is keeping mum about who's playing the symbiotic villain.
Delving deep into its cast list, there's a prime candidate for the role that jumps out: Child of God star Scott Haze. As anyone who's seen him in the James Franco-directed film will testify, he has the right credentials to play a murderous psychopath.
In Child of God, Haze portrays a character named Lester Ballard, who gradually sinks into a mire of degradation and lunacy during the course of the story. It's basically the same arc as Cletus Kasady's, minus the red goo.
When The Night Of's Riz Ahmed signed up for Venom in a mystery role, reports began to circulate that he would be Carnage, but more recent rumours that he's playing Chameleon sound more on the money.
