10 Bold Predictions For Future DC Movies

9. David Goyer Will Bow Out Sooner Rather Than Later

Now, I'm not about to turn this into another 'I hate David Goyer' rant. For the record, I don't. There can be little question that Goyer's writing had a significant impact on the superhero movie genre as we know it today, thanks primarily to the Blade movies, and subsequently his work with Christopher Nolan on The Dark Knight trilogy. However, with Man Of Steel not doing quite so well as hoped and certainly not winning over all the fans, there would certainly seem cause to question Goyer's vision. Still, back when Batman V Superman was first announced in summer 2013, with the Man Of Steel writer attached once more, it certainly appeared that Goyer might be set to shape the DCEU the way Kevin Feige has shaped that of Marvel, or Simon Kinberg has with 20th Century Fox's X-Men (and, ahem, Fantastic Four) movies. However, this would not seem to have come to pass. It's widely reported that Ben Affleck wasn't happy with Goyer's Batman V Superman script, hence Argo writer Chris Terrio was brought on board to rewrite it (as well as Affleck allegedly doing some rewrites himself). With Terrio reportedly taking over writing duties on Justice League, it seems feasible that Goyer's role will only decrease further with time.
