8. Snow Tricked Katniss - The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2

The Theory: At the end of Mockingjay Part 2, it's revealed President Coin is just as tyrannical as Snow, having used the revolution merely as a means to gain power. Or at least it seems that way - the key to the mystery comes from Snow, who could have been secretly tricking Katniss into killing her new leader. Why It's Believable: We know Snow is a master manipulator, so it's not beyond reason that he'd be able to convince Katniss of a mistruth, leading to her reading malicious intent into Coin's plans for one final Hunger Games when there isn't any. While his days are most certainly numbered, he knows he can still bring his adversary down with him, which is a "moral" victory for him. Why It Can't Be True: The main reason this feels so believable, however, is because the final half hour of Mockingjay Part 2 is so rushed that we never get full scope of Coin's villainy; it's mostly implied and, yes, mostly from Snow. But once again that means it's stemming from a fan desire to make a messy film appear better than it is.
