10 Bonkers Theories About 2015’s Movies That Surely Can’t Be True

7. Owen Is The Kid Grant Scares In The First Film - Jurassic World

The Theory: Owen, Jurassic World's raptor keeper and all-round badass, is actually the chubby kid from the opening of Jurassic Park who Dr. Grant scares by graphically describing a velociraptor's method of killing. Why It's Believable: The key link between the two characters, aside from the ages kinda matching up and a sorta meta-parallel with Chris Pratt's transformation into superstar, is the use of the term respect; it's the point Grant's trying to make and is a word Owen loves to use when describing his alpha male relationship with his raptor chums. Did he gain an overwhelming fascination with the terrible lizards based around this traumatising experience? Why It Can't Be True: Well for starters, Chris Pratt has explicitly said it can't be true. So there's that. But, really, isn't this all just some needless fan obsession over the use of a line that has always been pretty important to the franchise as a whole and thus is likely to pop up anyway? Also, would a film as overt as Jurassic World really bring back such a memorable character and not make a big deal about it?
