10 Box Office Bombs You Could Spot From A Mile Away

6. King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword

I'm not sure who, if anyone, was crying out for a $175 million fantasy-tinged retelling of the King Arthur story that was designed to kick off a six-movie interconnected 'Knights of the Round Table' universe and failed spectacularly but whoever you are, you got what you wanted.

From the same Generic White Guy factory that brought us Sam Worthington, Jai Courtney and Garrett Hedlund, Charlie Hunnam once again proves that he lacks the presence and confidence necessary to carry a blockbuster on his shoulders. Director Guy Ritchie tries to do a lot of things, but fails to pull any of them off successfully and the movie ends up feeling over-produced and underdeveloped.

Predicted to lose up to $150 million, Legend of the Sword has so far only clawed back $137.7 million at the global box office and represents a major misstep for both Warner Bros. and Ritchie, with the latter heading into Disney's live-action Aladdin with two major box office bombs in a row behind him.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
