10 Brilliant Movie Villains Defeated In The DUMBEST Way Possible

5. Shredder - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1 + 2

Shredder is such an archetypal villain, it's easy to forget how silly he was depicted in the 1987 animated series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In one episode, he took possessed Master Splinter so he could make the turtles do chores. (That was his entire evil plan.)

Thankfully, the film adaptation was more in line with the comic books, depicting Shredder as a warrior and a cult leader rather than a campy supervillain.

Even though he was built up really well, his final battle was anticlimactic. After a decent fight with the titular reptiles, the Foot Clan's leader is defeated in one second by Splinter.

Fans who were disappointed by this finale were excited to learn Shredder would return in the sequel. Not only that, the film concludes with the turtles facing a mutated version of the nefarious ninja called the Super Shredder.

Sadly, this climax was even worse than the last one! While cornered on a dock, Shredder smashes through pillars (for no reason), causing the structure to collapse, crushing him to death.

What's worse is that Leonardo and the gang didn't even fight Shredder in this form! It was ridiculous to see such a legendary character be defeated by his own stupidity.
