Another film that rewards genre fans with stacks of audience pleasing cameos, Body Bags is a fun anthology film made for TV as a backdoor pilot for a Tales From The Crypt-alike anthology series that never materialised. Directed by genre icons John Carpenter and Tobe Hooper, the horror heroes star as the storytelling morgue attendants in a frame narrative for a set of stories that feature appearances from everyone from Sam Raimi to Roger Corman.

The first of the stories features a machete wielding escaped mental patient tormenting a girl working the night shift at a gas station just outside Haddonfield (the setting for Carpenter's Halloween, they really to get better security round there).

Craven shows up as a sinister looking customer at the garage (you can see him about 20 seconds into the trailer), perhaps pointing the way to where the rest of the evening will go.
