10 Brilliantly Stupid TV Guide Descriptions Of Classic Movies

9. Alien 3

Ripley (Sigourney Weaver)€ believe it or not€ is back to battle the creature in this sequel set on a dismal penal colony.
Alien 3 certainly isn't the most beloved film in the Alien franchise but there are still some great moments to enjoy; Charles Dance, Paul McGann, Weaver as a tragic, tough-as-nails Ripley and an evolution of the classic monster that invoked the horror of the first Alien. Unfortunately this reviewer either a) shared the sentiments of many that this was a pointless sequel or b) was not a fan of the Alien saga as a whole. Their comment 'believe it or not' is dripping with sarcasm and the use of the word dismal applies to the whole film. They obviously have no love for David Fincher's unique vision. Just imagine what they might have written about Alien: Resurrection.
