4. Dev Patel

Yet another veteran of Skins, it's really surprising that Dev Patel has yet to snag a role in this franchise. He probably would have made a good Newt Scamander himself; he certainly has the right kind of demeanour and energy for the part. Even so, he would be an ideal fit for any number of character types in the Wizarding World.

Patel's enthusiasm and vibrancy, as seen in films like Slumdog Millionaire and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, would make him a perfect fit as an ally to Newt and his friends. He could serve as something of Neville Longbottom equivalent, being the clever but awkward and often looked-over friend who proves himself over the series. Or maybe he could a stickler office worker at the Ministry or some other organisation, inadvertently getting in the way of the heroes' adventure.

Whatever the role, Patel could really use a big reliable franchise. Sure, he has The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel movies, but those aren't exactly blockbuster entertainment. Patel's previous ventures into a epic series, The Last Airbender and Chappie, both ended up bombing out spectacularly.

Neither of those failures were his fault, and actually he was one of the few redeeming elements of The Last Airbender, but Patel more than deserves a franchise role that's going to last.
