3. Jennifer Saunders - Shrek 2
DreamworksDespite the fact that CGI films are becoming more and more commonplace, it has to be said that it is still the Shrek franchise which takes the "best of the rest" title beneath Pixar's domination. Of the five feature films (don't forget Puss In Boots) and television specials, it is arguably Shrek 2 that comes out on top; improving on the first entry, and pushing back the law of diminishing returns until Shrek The Third. Although obviously only a voice-over, the fact that the Fairy Godmother was voiced by our very own Jennifer Saunders is definately something to celebrate. Saunders has been known for her comedy for decades, thanks to Absolutely Fabulous, and of course her partnership with Dawn French. Although the pair are well known for their parodies of Blockbusters from Kill Bill to Mamma Mia!, Saunder's association with (actual) big names was nothing new when Far Far Away came calling. Not only had she appeared alongside The Muppets in their adaptation of Treasure Island, but she also appeared in TV's Friends as Ross' second Mother-in-law, Andrea Waltham.
