Yep, that's right, one of the few British talents to make an impact on Pixar was none other than Live & Kicking's Andi Peters. Admittedly it may not have been the biggest impact, but this article is about those who you never realised worked for Pixar, and it's fair to say that Peters' work was fairly obscure. In fact Peters is credited only under "Additional Voices", and provided the voice for a baggage handler at the airport during the climactic airport rescue, a role he was offered when interviewing John Lasseter as part of the behind the scenes show Andi Meets Toy Story 2. It is hard to imagine these days, but back in the late nineties a completely computer animated film was still very much a novelty, and so this look into how it was made was actually quite a scoop. Perhaps the most interesting fact about Peters' voice acting is that it was actually done right here in Blighty as well. Although the bulk of the documentary was filmed in the States, he wasn't actually working for an American company, something which changed when he worked for Pixar. As working for an American company on US soil requires alot more paperwork (and a particular visa), Peters instead worked here, with Lasseter directing him via an international videolink. It's amazing what you can do with computers these days, but then if anyone proves that, it's Pixar.
